Cafe Negro is a true, non-fading black with very, very fine fiber - he brings fineness and excellent luster to any pairing. Cafe Negro won a Blue Ribbon in the 2013 MAPACA Spin-Off with outstanding comments from the Judge. This was his seven year fleece and the Judge suggested his fiber should be used for baby garments and garments worn next to the skin.

He is unrelated to MacGyver, being the son of an import, and sired by a rare Rufino son (Forrestlinn). His bloodlines are hard to find, but well respected, and we plan to use him over some of our black females that have shown a tendency to coarsen with age. He has also produced modern grays, so who knows what we'll see!

Negro's pairing with Jet produced an exquisite black female that unfortunately did not survive being delivered early during an extreme heat wave early this spring. We have decided to breed him to Jet's daughter Piucca as well as to AF Empress for 2018 cria.
