Hesin - whose name means "winter" - was a bit of a surprise, arriving as he did in the middle of the coldest January we've had in a long time, to a girl that we had supposedly bought open! But we managed to keep him thriving, and it paid off - youngest in the class Hesin just placed third of five gorgeous previously sheared true black males at the 2014 MAPACA Jubilee. Now having been sheared twice, we're seeing quite a bit of graying on him - perhaps a poorly expressed silver gray? His mother does have some areas that seem gray as well.

Hesin has excellent conformation and a typey suri phenotype with great coverage from his head to his feet. His regrowth has almost reached the same length as his first fleece, and is nicely relocked. He has very good luster and a pleasing handle. All around, he's an attractive male. Unfortunately, he is coarser than we would use in our breeding program, so he is ready to be a fiber or companion animal elsewhere. He is friendly and approachable, and likely would become a good farm ambassador.

Hesin's pedigree includes some greats, from Torbio and Fuego on the top side through his sire and Pperuvian Juan on the dam's side. It's a real who's who of suri greats on his certificate.

Third Place, True Black Yearling Male, 3-11" previously sheared, full fleece halter, 2014 MAPACA Jubilee (class of five)
