Anna is a true black female out of a MacGyver daughter and Shavano, the last male to beat Balboa in the ring (and 2010's Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year). She is full Peruvian and 3/8 Accoyo. Anna has incredibly fine fiber from her mother (Stormy had 16 micron fiber at a year old, and is only 24 micron after five cria), with a delicious handle - she feels as soft as a cloud. Her fourth fleece is still only 20 micron, excellent for a true black suri.

As a juvenile, Anna placed first in a competitive class of eight true black females at MAPACA, one of the country's largest shows, and was awarded the Reserve Champion banner. She then took third in an extremely tough class of 11 at the Buckeye show - David Barboza took approximately 45 minutes to place the class, and noted that Anna had the finest and densest fleece in the group. Last but not least, Anna placed fifth in her class of ten at the National show. Last but not least, she placed fifth in her class of ten at the National show. After shearing, Anna's regrowth came back with a looser lock structure that will be a delight to process, although it is not the typey lock sought after in the show ring.

Anna delivered a beautiful light fawn male sire by LCA Stetson in 2013. Up and at 'em quickly, little Galad looks to be a copy of his father. Anna's 2015 cria is a medium brown female with a white nose - cute as a button! Unfortunately, both of her cria lack the lock structure needed to be in a suri breeding program, and so we are retiring Anna from breeding. However, she and her offspring produce fiber that is absolutely mind-blowing from a spinner's point of view - so she and her kids would be a terrific addition to a handspinner's herd.

Fána's name means "cloud," because she is as soft as one - but unfortunately, while incredibly fine and pleasing to the hand, her fiber is not true to...
