Suri, Female, Unproven | Dark Fawn

Sire: Rufinodoblelinn | ARI# 831439  | White |
Dam: Savannahlinn | ARI# 825176  | Dark Brown

UPDATE: Nanda delivered a beautiful 14.7 pound white female on 7/26/12 and has proven to be an excellent mother with abundant milk and very protective instincts. Little Saira is thriving, and has exquisite fiber.

Nanda is a beautiful dark fawn girl out of our Rufino daughter, Savannahlinn. She has very good coverage from her ears to her toes, and a nice typey beard. Her fiber is soft and well locked, with plenty of luster! Her flat locks are completely independent, and she shines in the sunlight as if she were wet.

Although a fawn, Nanda covers either brown or black genetics, and will have the potential to produce dark color. If you are looking for Rufino genetics, Nanda has them in spades, being the product of a line breed - but look what resulted! Nanda is one of the most outgoing alpacas on the farm - she simply has to know what you're doing. She often comes over to check visitors out, and is very popular with them.

Nanda began her show career taking the blue in the juvenile fawn females class at NAAS. The judge liked her density, luster and uniformity of lock, as well as her typey suri look. As a yearling, Nanda repeated at Empire - another blue. The uniformity and luster of her regrowth were both praised by the judge. And again at Green Mountain - blue for her uniformity of lock, good regrowth and luster. She received 17/20 for fineness/handle and 17/20 for luster in the 2011 Suri Network Fleece Show, where she placed 5th in her class. The judge commented "Excellent luster & quite fine!"
