BESAME Telwa

ARI# 31694315   D.O.B. 6/17/2009  (8 yrs)

Suri, Male, Unproven | Light Fawn

Full Peruvian
Sire: Rufinodoblelinn | ARI# 831439  | White |
Dam: Savannahlinn | ARI# 825176  | Dark Brown

Telwa carries very impressive luster, with excellent lock style, good density and a nice suri phenotype. His regrowth is nicely relocked every year and he has a good staple length. Telwa carries extensive Rufino genetics on both sides of his pedigree. This has resulted in an animal with incredible fiber characteristics. His sire, Rufinodoblelinn, garnered an impressive series of wins both in halter and fleece classes, and his dam, Savannah, has produced a number of champions. There is the possibility that he carries recessive black genetics, as both his sire and dam do.

As a juvenile, Telwa placed fifth on the strength of his luster and lock in a competitive class of 11 juveniles at MAPACA. He has remained very small for his age, still about 110 pounds and under 32" at the shoulders at age three, but he has had no health issues and is not thyroid deficient. His size has kept us from entering him in halter classes, but we have sent his fleece to several spinoffs this year (2012). If you're thinking about breeding miniatures, you can't ask for a nicer fleece on a compact male. Telwa has shown himself ready and willing to try passing on his genetics, too. He has matured to about 120 pounds and remains compact, but with a good phenotype.

Telwa's 2012 fleece statistics are AFD 22.57µ, SD of 5.66µ and a CV of 25.09.
